Choice (Process driving)

Before learning or having any type of experience in driving, will have to learn and remember the steps , rules and regulations- in most of which reading the drivers ed book/ manual. First, locate one of the Department of Motor Vehicle offices and pick up an manual. This manual is the key to learning and knowing all the questions on the permit part of the test which are multiple/short answer questions. Second, after taking your permit at the DMV you will find out that same day in whether you passed or failed. You will have three tries to pass the test with at least a 70 or higher. After passing that part of the steps in which to receive a driver’s license, its best to schedule your five hour course after being issued that you have completed the class for five hours. Third, after attending that class try and schedule a driving lesson with your choice of school, which they will help you to do better and even tell you what needs to be improved. Finally, after attending a couple of courses you should be able to become more confident in passing your road test. When that day comes you will need an insured vehicle, your permit, and an inspected vehicle that passes the standards to the safety policies in driving an operated vehicle. In the end if your that good the teacher will tell you in whether you scored in the range you would have to meet and, then if you passed they will give you a temporary license and if you haven’t met those requirements you be able two more attempts in receiving your license just as if passing your permit.

Choice (Divorces)

A story from “The River Reader”
Divorces

To me divorce is a failure because reading these two stories really made me think that the only way that she failed during her marriage was because her mom failed to leave her father for his wrong doing, so when she grew up to be a mother herself she felt as if she was going through the same thing and, so she left her husband because he too was not a good man.  She also didn’t want her daughter to feel trapped or become a failure like she did. Being or going through a divorce is a failure because you and your partner agreed during your vows that you would for ever trust and love each other etc. that shows that the couple was never meant to be and they were dishonest. During a divorce I think its often one person that doesn’t see fit in the relationship for them to stay or work it out. But situations like this in The Tale of two Divorces the writers one that was, and one that was not one wasn’t getting treated fairly. Well both weren’t but one just saw that it was time to go while the other stayed an didn’t get the chance to live happily ever after because she decided to stay in that horrible marriage and she thought that what she saw was that he loved her, and that’s what she called love which was not. After living all those years your mind starts to think that the only way you’re being treated that way was because, one or he/she either loved you, or he was just having a bad day which it shouldn’t be like that on a daily basis. But one thing is, is that you should never feel like it was your fault or you’re not the one for anyone because in the end everyone deserves to be happy and loved.

If I won one million dollars

If I won a million dollars, I would pass out. Well first and for most I would give to my heavenly father. A tax free million makes a major difference in how I would spend it. I would think of my children’s future like school, retirement and back up funds. I would also keep in mind charities benefiting the less fortunate.
I would send my son to the 4 corners of the United States then to other countries they would like to visit that they would not be able to visit. I would put away money for my retirement. I give my son the opportunity to go to the best colleges in the world like Harvard, Yale or even another country.
I would help out my people in my community  out by buying them a brand new home with no worries of money. I would start a company to help out disadvantage women and children who have lost their way in life. I would help out with charities to help people who have been affected by the hurricanes and natural disasters.
I would also pay off al of my children’s debt.  Along with helping out my children I would open a soup kitchen to feed the less fortunate. I would also help out people from all over the country of. It is a country where a lot of people need help and I would help build homes and shelter for people.
Finally, I would go on a shopping spree buying a whole lot of clothes and sneakers. I would buy my boyfriend his dream car along with my dream car and house. I would get a savings bond for my son so he could live a better life.

Unforgettable moment

When I was like ten years old, my best friend & I went to the park. And we were going down the slide on wax paper (so we could go down faster) and my friend's piece of wax paper blew away. So she's chasing it and running down this big hill bent over and waving her arms around to try and catch it. And it was so hilarious that I peed my pants. So we're on our way back to my house and my mom's cousin (who I barely knew) happened to show up at the park with her little girl and she wanted us to play with her kid. And I'm like, ummmm, no, we can't, and trying to hide my peed-in pants

Teen Curfew

While few people would argue that children should be free to wander the streets aimlessly after midnight, the actual benefits of the law are at best dubious. Police reported that their enforcement was lax, and officials cannot prove the curfew actually reduced juvenile crime or victimization. If cases are typical, they suggest that the law has little effect. And by focusing on the curfew, officials and residents may be blinding themselves to real solutions to the juvenile crime problem. Most of the crimes do not occur during the hours the curfew is in effect. The law set curfew hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Instead of restricting children's nighttime access to public streets, parks, basketball courts and movie theaters, officials and community leaders should encourage young people to visit those places and engage in activities that occupy them and give them reasons not to commit crimes by day or night. Curfew laws and similar measures, such as trying ever-younger children as adults, are easy to pass and cheap to implement. They may also impress voters and comfort residents and touristsbut the comfort is a false one. The only way to stop juvenile crime is to attack its real causes. Being young and out late at night is not among them.

Do College Students need Spring Break?

If you are an average worker, you work 40 hours per week. If you are an extraordinary worker working for someone else and seeking extra money or a promotion, you probably work 50 hours per week. If you are a successful entrepreneur, you are probably working in or thinking about your business 60+ hours a week.
Average worker, extraordinary worker, entrepreneur – YOU WORK.  Now, how about our country’s future leaders, our college students… The average number of classes that college students USED to take was five courses.
Now, if you factor that many college students are taking a fifth year to graduate, the average number of classes would slip to four courses. But, let’s be nice and say that the average college student takes five classes that meet for one hour twice a week or ten hours of classes a week. Now, sixty percent of college students REPORT [they say] that they spend 15 hours a week OR LESS studying.
So, again to be nice, that’s ten hours in class plus fifteen hours studying which totals 25 hours per week enmeshed in the work of academia. Bottom line: The majority of college students work HALF as hard as extraordinary workers.  BUT, that’s the future …. Let’s party now ….
Forget all those boring mean spirited statistics about college students being lazy.  Forget all the partying that college students do in the 143 hours EVERY week that they aren’t studying or in class. It’s time to head south, Baby !!! What can I say but get ready for Girls Gone Wild and S-P-R-I-N-G … B-R-E-A-K !!!
BLAST that music, Baby !!! It’s time for wet t-shirts and trashing motel rooms.  It’s time for rufies and bongs and jello shots.  It’s time for some serious alcohol poisoning.
Parents, not to worry, the average male college student ONLY consumes 15 alcoholic beverages on a typical day at Spring Break and your Princess is content with ONLY 10 drinks. Don’t worry, Dad, whatever happens on Spring Break stays on Spring Break.  Your precious Little Samantha will tell you that sleeping with Marcus, the towel boy at the hotel, was a one night fling and she’s almost, pretty, kinda, sure that he wore a condom, she thinks.  “But, Daddy, after ten belly shots, you can’t really blame me.” Here are a few statistics that college students should bear in mind for the NEAR future …
30% of you will drift from job to job making a marginal living.  You will be VERY unhappy. 50% of you will get jobs but will be required to work harder with less compensation than past generations.  You will be AVERAGE. You will be just AVERAGE unhappy.

Weight Loss Plan

A man calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program.
The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.
She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me." Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up.
The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning and beautiful woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you catch me you can have me." Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape. Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. as promised.
He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program. "Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone. "This is our most rigorous program." "Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years."
The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads,"If I catch you, you are mine!!!"

He lost 63 pounds that week.
