October 29, 2010 I went to an Applebee’s in Brooklyn, NY. Once we were seated at a table one of our guests went to the bathroom. Then our waitress came to the table when someone from our party was in the restroom, so we decided to wait to order our beverages. After our guest came back, we waited for the waitress for 30 minutes to return, in order for us to order our beverages together as a group. When our Waitress finally returned to our table for our orders, she took the order but when it was time for everyone to get there drink she only brought one drink instead of every ones drink at the same time. And of course that took another 15-20 minutes for our orders to be placed the right way. Once the drinks came we finally got to place our order of food, no one was very happy about how long we had to wait for that. When I finally got my food ordered I specifically asked for no pickles, onions and American cheese on my well done burger. Once our food came, it had everything I didn't want on my burger. So I showed it to her she stated that she gave the cook the correct order basically pointing the finger. So when she finally came back with the correct order she seemed very frustrated and it showed throughout the night. I became very angry because my entire guests were already done by the time I received my food. So after that we asked to see a manager, when the manager came we stated everything that had happened throughout our night. He said he would talk to her about her poor customer service and performance. Once he left she came shortly after and confronted us just to tell us did we tell her manager that she provided poor service. One of the guests at our table did not like the way she approached us and started to go off on her. They argued in front of all the customers and employees. Once everything settled we left asking for the corporate number. What a bad experience that was. Huh?
ugggghhhh that does sound horrible and ive been in that situation alot!! its really frustrating, you go out with friends expecting to have a good time and when you get there the waitresses are miserble for something that isnt your fault.
ReplyDeletethey are at work and should act profressional no matter what is going on. you show up to work and you do your job. i dont understand what they expect. they picked a job that is customer service orientated and they treat people that way. its just not right i hope you guys didnt leave a tip! and you should have gotten at least your meal for free!
